Hello! Joined up over the weekend to learn more about Beemers and to help decide whether to buy one or not. I am without a ride at the moment but have over 50k of overall road experience (which I realize is mere pittance compared to many of you). These miles were compiled over 6 bikes and 33 years (almost 31k of that on my last two two rides). Past garage consisted of:

While living in NYC (circa 1984-1988)
1982 Honda Nighthawk - 12,000 miles ridden in and around Manhattan in only one year and a month.
1984 and 1985 Honda 500 Interceptor - crashed one sold the other.
1984 Yamaha Seca 750 full fairing and hard bags.

After moving to Central CT and then Ohio (circa 2003-2009)
2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200 - 11,000 miles ridden around CT, VT, and NH
2005 Yamaha FRJ1300 - ridden about 20,000 miles over a span of four years in the same area and some in Ohio.

So, now I'm here, looking into getting back into riding and have always liked the RTs.

Welcome from a NYC transplant in Minnesota!

The RT is a great bike. Look at the K16GT's before you pull the trigger.
