He lists oil pan bolts at 6.5-8 ft-lbs. For these, I usually use a nut-driver with a 10mm socket on the end...a little hard to over torque something like that.

Might be a good idea to invest in the Haynes manual if you're going to work on these things. It's really useful.
Oak always referred to these manuals as "kindling"! It would be best to invest in more than one as there are errors, even in BMW's manuals. Use multiple sources to verify the torques...even use internet sources as well.
