Recognizing the /5

Page 18 of the January 2022 ON mentions some special activities for the /5 as part of the BMWMOA 50th anniversary celebration. The article says details will be released in the next few months, but I wonder if any of you thoughts about what might we might see for the /5 at this rally. I think it is possible the organizers might try to get a /5 group photo. If many show up it might have to be an aerial (drone) picture.

I am leaning toward riding my /5 to the rally. I know a fellow /5 owner here in Virginia and a /5 friend in Ohio who are on the fence.

They encouraged riding your /5 at the close of last years rally. I am tempted, but not sure I can convince myself to ride it from SoCal .. the modern bike is such a pleasure for touring those kind of distances.

cwroady, that would be a long trip! On the other hand, short of someone from the northwest making the trip, you might qualify as the one riding the longest distance. What pushes to me toward making the ride is the fact that this will probably be the only time this happens. A gathering of the /5s is likely to be annual event.
