Radiator Faring Removal, 1994 K75 RT

Hi, Any suggestions about the best way remove the radiator faring? After removing all the fasteners--screws and trim pins and retaining clips (top of brake line)--it remains in place by the ABS line that appears to travel directly through it?

David,

Move fairing down so nut on brake line comes out of the rubber grommet. Squeeze the grommet so the grommet and brakeline can be moved out through the slot.

I'm a dope--sprayed some penetrating lube on the grommets, slipped the faring down, and the lines came straight out; was worried about applying too much force and cracking the faring.

Thanks so much!

David,

You’re not a dope. You just haven’t done it before. Sometimes, the way things are designed make disassembly not so evident. Sometimes asking leads to less problems caused by trial and error. This forum is a place to ask the people who have been there done that (or sometimes even been there and broke that, so you don’t have to). :thumb
