painting saddle bags

I'm thinking of having the lids of my bags and trunk painted glossy black to cover up the fading and scuff marks, and otherwise dress the bike up a little. Can anyone recommend a shop within a reasonable distance of NYC for this?

Before you decide, may I offer another soluton?

I've used Linex and it's reasonably priced and very durable. I've since had several friends do the same. It's not just for truck beds and GS's! It looks good on K bikes, RT's, and more! It can also be color matched.

Thanks for the suggestion. What I'm really going for is a glossy black or color match to the bike, not an industrial look.

A friend had his bags painted ('04 K12RS) and told me he wished he'd never done it. They showed every little ding and were hard to touch-up. YMMV.

I would think twice about going high gloss. Even a foot kick passing over will leave a mark you will not be happy with. There is a reason factory bags are not glossy.
