need some help!!! 81 R65 with Snowflake wheels and Avon AM26 Roadrider tires

It is unclear in this whole thread whether the OP is using a tube. Is this another tubless tire on a tube type rim adventure??

i am the OP and yes i am using a tube as required on the 81 snowflake wheels....

this ain't my first rodeo...!!!

been changing MC tires for nearly 45 years...tubeless tires WITH tubes on cast and spoked wheels without issue....THIS is the FIRST tire i have been unable to mount.....i see this as a challenge now...
