Good afternoon.2004 r1150gsa, after changing my oil today and lifting tank slightly to change the fuse for my PIAA lights,I reassembled the bike went to start it, and it chugged like an old single and is backfiring and i think running badly on one cylinder.
The bike was started and warmed up to 2 bars on oil temp gauge,it was then shut off and protective equip taken off.
then oil was removed, and filter removed, let drain about a half hour while cleaning up underside.
filter changed oil filled, protective items re installed.
rear bolt on tank was removed tank propped up , one 15 amp fuse changed. nothing but bolt removed.
went to restart and it chugged and backfired but will not run or idle sounds like i lost a cylinder.
66k miles
any ideas ? bike started and ran fine before oil change.

thanks all!

I think one of the throttle cables (probably the right one) is pulled up out of the ferrule at the throttle body. This happens a lot. And when it does it creates symptoms just like yours.
