Interesting Stop Over, Kansas City - IBA Ride Thru?

Cousins!

I'm planning an IBA 2000/48 this summer of 2018. You might already know that we have to accumulate receipts in order to prove our whereabouts and I like to make it a bit of a treasure hunt. For instance, last 2016, I sent Mike Kneebone my registration receipt and rally pin photo from the BMW MOA Rally in Hamburg, NY on July 14, 2016, to prove where I was at 518 miles along my route.

For this next planned 2000/48 ride, my farthest western point will be Omaha, NE, and I have already selected the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium to plan where I would like to get my receipt from. I'll probably get it from the Gift Shop at the aquarium, as I pass thru Interstate 80/29.

My next southern point before turning easterly will be Kansas City, MO.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what might be an interesting stop over while I'm slowing down on Interstate 29 and am about to cross the Missouri River and enter Kansas City airspace?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Kansas City Area Historical Stop Options

National World War 1 (WWI) Museum or Union Station in downtown KC are interesting stops.

Also the Pony Express Museum in St. Joseph and President Truman's Presidential Library in Independence are educational stops.
