handlebar change to '93 K75s

I just got this bike, and it makes me lean farther forward than I like (should have gotten an RT version. Will consider a swap, btw), so I want to raise the handlebars or replace them with longer ones.
My questions: What cables am I going to need to replace? What other considerations do I need to consider?

Far and away, the easiest way to solve your problem is with the CORRECT barbacks from A&S Cycles:

These are made for A&S SPECIFICALLY for early K-bikes.

They have the proper mounting for your dash pad (unlike any other barbacks).

They WILL clear a stock tank bag.

For bikes built after 9/91, you DO NOT have to change the brakeline (even though it does say you do).

All stock cables and hoses can be used (possibly a cable tie may need to be removed or repositioned).

VERY quick 20 min. installation. NO controls or hoses need be removed from bars (unlike changing to other bars).

HEATED GRIPS do not have to be removed (unlike changing to other bars). The risk of damaging the wires/grips is avoided.

All my Ss have these barbacks on them and it really transforms the comfort level.

KEEP THE S !!!!!!

+ 75 on Lee's comments.

I bought the bar backs from Bob's - what a difference!

Mine has the "C" bars.

Rides a lot more upright than before.

I would not recommend the ones from Bob's as they do not have the proper mounting for the dash pad and they are not relieved at the rear to give more clearance for hooking the factory tank bag front clip and regardless of what they say on their website, they do not raise the bars as much as the A&S ones do.

Yes, they are $10 cheaper and they will move the bars to a better position than stock but......
