Bridge collapse on route 95 In Philadelphia- 6-11-23

Just saw a news feed with the PA governor proclaiming “We rebuilt the highway in two weeks” or something like that. It’s more like a patch that got the bridge reopened.
Permanent repairs will probably require another shutdown to return the bridge back to real operational function once the structural beams and spreaders are fabricated.
Certainly better than the bridge being closed.

Same thing happened to one of our bridges in town in 2007 but on a mass and more tragic scale. Several people died. Luckily for me I was not there at the time even though I traveled on this bridge many times even just days before the collapse.
