Any good rides from White Plains, NY?

I will be traveling from Maryland to White Plains, NY in late October for a conference and will have a couple of days available afterward to play. I'm trying to determine whether it would be worth riding my bike there, so that I could spend the weekend riding back to MD via an interesting route. I would appreciate any suggestions for areas and/or roads departing from White Plains that would be worth the trip.

I agree, Rt. 7 in Connecticut, Taconic Parkway but be careful, Rt. 22 but listen to Trashman. He probably knows the NY rodes better.
