2023 R1250GS. Can I wait for used crash bars?

Hi,
I know I need to protect the bike before I drop it and although it is unlikely, that may happen right now as the kickstand rolls up in the garage.
So, I am wondering, since I don't mind scratched crash bars, is it reasonable to expect a set of used crash bars to hit the market? Or, is this the unicorn of the GS world and Im dreaming if I think I’ll take home a pair without using a bot to find them?

I realize this is an odd question and apologize for not just waiting and seeing. I promise that for less urgent matters I will.

Welcome to the forum!

I guess you could wait- however…….. Crash bars are, from my experience, a very fussy fit. Any previous impact probably means that they were “pried” off the bike that was impacted.

The cost of new is about the same as the repair of one drop. Buy the new ones. Oh and I prefer the term engine protection bars.

Because they protect the engine in the event of a crash I suppose.

I'm looking for a left side bar. Mine has some damage and is a PITA to R and R. If you have a sidecar, I would think the left side bar is a moot point as well. Any interest in selling?
