FYI: the F650's have unfused circuits as well, I have redone & fused the harness on one of those as well.

Thanks for the response and links. I had a short in the headlamp circuit caused by a self-inflected rookie mistake - a lamp wire got pinched when I reinstalled the tachometer into the instrument housing. Fusing the headlamp and ignition switch is a worthwhile project.
