Has anyone gone to Avon Distanzia's on the F800GS.... ?

The Karoo's look way to aggressive for the Hiway !!!!

The Kenda's are a smaller tire, however look good for the price....

With the Kendas you get exactly what you pay for...a cheap tire. I've had them on smaller dirt bikes.

I just put a set of Distanzias on my Triumph. They are great on the road and I'd recommend them. They will only be up to mild off road use though. If that's a priority a lot of people like TKC80s.

Tires

My 800 had Bridgestones from factory.
I have since replaced with TKC and they are nice . I have put about 1500 miles on them and they feel great on/off road.
On road above 70-80 mph they create some vibration .

Same here, but at 2,000 miles. And that's the problem, because I've had it a long time. I find myself treating the F800GS like an enduro. I love the TKC80s, but when I ride anywhere that is not off-pavement, I take the R1200R mainly because of the tires. I am contemplating yanking the TKC80s in favor of a set of Conti TrailAttacks so that I am more comfortable on pavement, notwithstanding the trade-off.

But then again, I remember why I kept the R1200R! Decisions, decisions....

I just bought a set of these http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Cha...alse&mscssid=09F0267253ED44FC8FFB8CA7A761E6F1 , but have not installed yet (trying to burn off the Battlewings). Shinkos are getting some good initial reviews on advrider.
my buddy has installed a set on his R100GS, and his first reports are positive for road use , but not enough real dirt riding yet to give real feedback on that.
General concern with the TKCs is that any substantial road use will destroy them pretty quickly (few thousand miles and done)
