subscription wise for me its ON (obv) and Cycle World

i buy Bike (UK) every other month generally, 10-12 dollars a month is couple of lattes or a decent bottle of hair conditioner, i don't want to tax my finances too much. this is probably my favorite moto mag out there; harsh, witty writing and extremely useful information.

Walnecks and Classic Bike occasionally get purchased, maybe 4 times a year each.

i also get the Yankee Beemers "Boxer Shorts" which is great and reminds me of a punk rock zine......it is where i got my start in motojorunalism, hahaha....

moto mags

MCN - a treasure typos and all.

CW- I'm sick of customs, Mr Edwards. Once upon a time, I found your interest in Bobbers and the old Cal. Bike Rod scene mildly interesting. And then you did it 757 more times...

Motorcyclist - uneven but occasionally worthy.

Rider - articles range from very good to written in crayons. Sometimes very, very weird.

Airmail - nostalgia and nice tidbits

ON- best club letter ever. Really needs to upgrade products review section. Hoping Winkle rejects articles like that HOWLER a few years ago that attempted to "quantify" the relatives values of the FJR13 and the K12GT.

Tried Robb Report - junk. Motorcycle Classics - I don't have a burning desire to travel to the past. BIKE - I buy about every third issue. Sometimes interesting, sometimes flat out bull goose loony crazy. Sport Bike - I don't fit sport bikes anymore due to a creaky knee. Oh well. MGNOC - weird to good. Other brit rags - too brit for me and I like Morse, Midsomer Murders, Britcoms, Pythons, Dr Who, etc.

I still miss CYCLE with all their compound-complexities and tasty bon mots. But then most folks are more comfy reading at about an 8th grade level.

Hair conditioner? :laugh

Reading Material

Cycle World: Peter Egan, good articles and great pictures.

Motorcyclist: crew of crazy guys and sometimes something completely off the wall.

Rider: good touring stuff and articles go into details with little maps to help you plan your own adventures.

How could I leave out RoadRunner??? I signed on fairly early - 4 or 5 issues in. I LOVE the delightfully pixillated "Germanish". Occasionally see phrases that belong at Engrish.com!
