Since more and more LC RTs are on the road, what are some of your favorite accessories?? and why?
Please share what accessories have made riding your new 2015/2015 RT even more of a pleasure.

As always, thanks for your comments and information.

Stuff for the RTW

It is nice to see the accessories showing up. Machineartmoto were early on the scene with the front fender extender. I like it's shape and method of attachment. It has kept a lot of grime off the front of the engine.

I picked up a touring windshield from California Scientific but have not ridden with it yet, it's serious winter here still. The stock shield is nice but you get lots of wind to the arms. I am hoping this shield will alleviate that till things warm up and I will want the wind there.

I have the case guards from Illium but not installed yet. I have the large top case and so far painted the top of it matt black. Anyone found the paint code for Ebony yet? I do my own painting so I need to tell a supplier what to mix.

All my bikes get the black reflective 3M film to the rear of the bags and I am hunting down LED's for the top case. I have motolights from a previous bike and the mounts for the brake calipers just arrived. We need to be seen, good driving skills are being lost out there, I was just on a road trip with a client, geez he steers with his knee a lot.

My favorite item is the neoprene grip covers, the stock grip diameter is a bit too small for long hands. But that's a universal item and I liked them on my other bikes.

I've done much less farkling to my 2014 RT than to my previous bikes (a 2008 F800ST and a 2010 R1200R). I just can't think of anything it needs other than slapping an Airhawk on for long rides and put black reflective tape all over it. I might eventually consider a Cee Bailey windshield but that's about it.

We're looking for a trailer hitch for our 2015. Bushtec didn't return my email and DMC says they need someone to bring them a bike to build one for. They're WAY too far from us for that to happen. If anyone has another source, please let us know!

I thought about the GS mirrors. How do they work for you and what model bike did you use???

I like them a lot. Now I am able to see areas that I could not before. Especially when I have items strapped to the back or if I have my Givi box on. I am not sure what bike they came from. I went to the dealer and said I want GS mirrors and they said okay. I do know they ordered them and tested them to make sure they would not interfere with the windscreen. They uses the same mount as the GS.
The part number is 51 16 8533686 and 85. I have them on a 14rt
