Would someone PLEASE create a forum for the parallel twins?

Please? It's going to be a real hassle to separate it out later.

Thank you.

Fred

Thanks, Fred. As a soon to be F800GS rider, I heartily approve this. How about it, Forum admins?

I concur. While I poke about in and belong to F800riders.org sometimes they discuss products and processes unavailable here in the States. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get a wholly domestic view when desired.

Admins? Board?
SCOTT?!

I promised to to be inconsolable and sulk indefinitely over in the "How do I?" area when they would not let me have a picture in my signature.... didn't work. My next move is to threaten to :banghead until I get my way. Give it a shot.

It would be nice. My wife just bought an F800ST, and is happier with it than any of the eight other street bikes she's ever owned.
If K bikes and R bikes are not only separated, but R bikes are further broken down as airheads, oilheads, hexheads, and even vintage models, why is it that such distinctly different bikes as singles and twins are lumped together?
Perhaps F and G bikes are only considered worthy of an "all others" classification?

With the exception of this thread I am a total lurker in here. I am interested in the G-X bikes and like the idea of separating the forum.

A recurring obstacle to doing things on the forum is the work involved and finding moderators. Are there people that would be willing to take on the tasks to help move it along. I am not qualified nor in any position of authority so this is just a suggestion. Sometimes you have to get off the bike, open a closed gate so you can ride forward.

So what do you ride? Want to join us as a guest moderator? And Yes, I'm serious. Understand I'm not saying it will happen, but simply asking if you'd be interested.

Ride a 2002 R1150R. I am interested in the tumper for a couple of possible applications so I lurk. I have made other commitments within the organization which will eat up my time otherwise I would consider it. I offered the post as a way for us to get off the dime and overcome what is often raised as an obsticle around here.

:lol

boy do I hear that!
And your work on the daily reads is very much welcome ad appreciated.

So is there an admin here? Who takes care of this forum? Why do so many practical forum proposals get discussed endlessly when there are no objections and there are no advocates or volunteers needed? Do you guys need forum help? I've offered before. :dunno

That is exactly what I would like to avoid and part of what frustrates me of late as a moderator. For this is a no-brainer and would not put any sort of load on the mod team that I can see and would be an opportunity to add a guest moderator who has an interest in the new twins, whether they own one or not.

Okay. But I'll need advice from time to time in separating out two years of parallel twins posts. And the thumper moderator and I (goes without saying) must have a good sense of humor when it comes to the inevitable F650GS errors.

not sure I'd even try that (to seperate posts) except for maybe active ones, or at least start there and work back slowly, rather I'd concentrate on ensuring new ones are in the right place then filter current ones, and finally worry about old ones.
