Windshield recommendations

Thankfully, a previous owner of the '19 F750GS I picked up this year had the good sense to swap out BMW's ridiculous excuse for a stock windscreen on that model.

Here's the current set-up:

I really like the look of the tinted screen. But it's non-adjustable, and it directs a lot of wind directly onto the front of my helmet, resulting in significant buffeting. It needs to go.

I have always been very happy with the Givi Airflow on my V-Strom, and that was my first thought for replacement. Unfortunately, I can't find any tinted versions of that model.

Can anyone suggest other options that are adjustable and offer tinted versions? Preferable something like the Givi, which directs the air higher.

Check out Madstad, it is adjustable and can be ordered 2 shades of tinted, also has side wings behind turn signals. I'm happy with mine on a f850gs.

Yeah, the Madstad seems to come pretty highly recommended, and it's one of the only ones I can seem to find that offers both the adjustability and tinting. But the price -- oof!

Can anyone advise if it's at all adjustable on the fly, or does it require a stop to make changes? Oddly, I can't seem to find any reviews or videos that show the adjustable mechanism in action.

It may be possible, but wouldn't recommend doing it while moving. You need to loosen 2 screw knobs to tilt or raise/ lower. Once I found the right position for my comfort I never really feel like it needs to be moved. On the k1200gt I used the power windshield a lot.

I'm very happy with Madstad on my F850GS. The adjustability lets you find a sweet spot between too much wind noise and not enough cooling air flow around the helmet. They had a good deal on replacement screens a while back, so now I have a short one for adventuring and summer, and a taller one for long road rides and colder weather. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap from one to another.
