Wind buffeting on F750GS

I got my 750 last year. Love the bike, but I've been struggling with an issue of wind buffeting around my helmet.

The bike came with a taller, non-adjustable aftermarket screen, but I found that directed a lot of wind right at my helmet and the buffeting was pretty intense. Over winter, I replaced it with a Givi Air-Flow, which served me very well for many years on my V-Strom. It's definitely better, but I'm still getting a fair bit of helmet vibration no matter hwo high or low I set it.

I do my motorcycling on a budget, so I can't keep testing different $200+ windshields.

Any other suggestions?

Hi, On a 2014 RT with a National Cycle V-Stream. I added Saeng edging to the V-Stream. Made a noticeable improvement in creating a quieter pocket behind the screen. Not cheap and does take a little bit to get used to but no worse than the A pillar on your car.

I have a Madstad (madstad.com) on my F700GS. I could adjust the height and the tilt with the mounting bracket that comes with the screen. My bracket looks like the one for the F750GS.

I am 5' 10". I ordered the 20" size screen. I could adjust the screen so I can just look over the top of the screen with the wind blowing owner my helmet.

Yeah, I was waffling between the Givi and the Madstad. The Madstad gets a lot of love, but I went with the Givi because it worked so well on my last bike, and it was about $70 less than the Madstad.

With the Givi fully extended the wind was just getting the top of my helmet. But I did also notice some wind coming up underneath the helmet, which seemed to emanate from the open area in front of the tank and behind the front fairing. Anyone ever seen a deflector of some sort for this?

Also thinking about one of those cheaper add-on deflectors that clamps to the top of the screen.

I installed a Givi AirFlow 2 weeks ago on a new to me 2019 F650 GS Low. I have Vario side bags, and a large Givi top case. When I load the bike for camping (large duffel and Redverz tent, which comes up to the same height as the top of the top case), I get a lot of buffeting at the temples (both sides), and LOTS of noise. With nothing on the rear seat, the windshield works GREAT!

I am considering getting a Madstad....I have had 2 previously on different bikes, as well a one previous AirFlow.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation and have any advice????

Late reply, but on both my F750GS and R1200R I found the cleanest and smoothest air to be with the stock small sport shield that barely covers anything. Combined with a slightly forward lean and you are good to go up to 65 or 70mph, as long as it isn't too cold or windy. But if I put anything else on there, as you say - it directs the wind directly at your helmet, resulting in more buffeting and in my case a sore neck.
