I recently picked up a 21 R1250RT. I was doing some year-end maintenance and came across what looks like a round OBD connector under the seat (see picture). Can anyone tell me what it is and if it should have a cover on it?

I know the ODB-II connector is located on the right side of the bike, in front of the battery.

This is the power connector to the large trunk.

The round plug under the rear seat of a RT is for the top box taillight, the plug in front of the battery is trapezoid and used with GS911 and Motoscan for several maintenance functions.

Cap 61 13 2 306 793 for about $13. I think it’s the same connector and cap used for OBD years ago.

Best,
DeVern
