once every six months, just to remind myself of what my mother said to me when i bought this album when i was 13; "you won't be listening to this crap in five years":laugh

funny it was only 9 years old at that time and now it's 25, i guess this is what "growing up" is all about.

Laibach ÔÇö Life is Life

Roll over Leni Riefenstahl. (and tell Tchaikovsky the news).

A 70's classic that brought back memories and heartbreaks. Some of you remember this.

And she walked away in silence,
It's strange, how you never know,
But we'd both gotten what we'd asked for,
Such a long, long time ago.

"I've did my time in that rodeo
It's been so long and I've got nothing to show
Well I'm so plain loco
Fool that I am I'd do it all over again..."

:buds

i see some billy bragg in there GrafikFeat

Yeah... Mermaid Avenue. You know it?

But right now it's this:
And as large as I see it! :lol

Some folks don't know that this album has the original 'cocaine' that Clapton popularized.
These two guys a are good friends and did pretty good album together... The one to the right in this image.

I miss LP Album Art.

Blast from the past...

Found the CD this past weekend at Cheapo Records. I hadn't heard it since I was teenager.

Al Kooper/Mike Bloomfield Super Session

Several good tunes, plus some "newly released" live versions.

Another artist gone too soon...

I know both Wilco (AM is a fabulous record) and Bragg (have a few items of his) separately but never heard the combo. Woody Guthrie stuff, probably due a listen.

Had a good set going with my ride yesterday. Some notables...
- Strummer and the Mescaleros
- YYY
- Ryan Adams
- Prine
- Wreckless Eric
- Lou Reed
