It was announced earlier today the passing of Ron Ayres as he had lost his battle with cancer. He was well respected in the long distance community and made many friends with his touring company. Any who have met him experienced his big smile and warm personality. He will be missed by many. God Speed Ron

I am sorry to hear of his passing. I learned many long distance riding tips from Ron's book "Going The Extra Mile".

Saddens me greatly to learn this.
Ron was a dedicated individual and all round good guy.
I met him many times over the years.
I guess thats why he stepped down at his company.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Joe
