Trying to connect a GS911

New member
I currently have 2017 R1200RT and I am trying to connect a GS911 to it, I have had two different cable sent to me and neither one will connect to the motorcycle connector. The connector on the GS911 is rectangular and the one on the bike is round. Can anyone tell the correct cable to attach this device to the bike (connector)
Please respond with any suggestions. I have purchased two cables and neither one will fit into the bike socket.

Welcome to the forum! :wave

Try clicking on the tag at the bottom of the screen...along with this thread, there is another thread that discusses the GS911 connector for late model R1200RTs.

It's possible you have not located the correct connector on the bike. It's not the round one under the seat.
This thread has pictures showing the location of the plug. Post number 9 shows a round connector but a 2017 should have a rectangular plug that plugs directly to your GS-911.

I think he might be trying to connect to the wrong connector at the bike. Can somebody provide him a good photo of what a 2017 is supposed to look like and where it is?

There's photos in the thread I provided. The only difference is the connector is a rectangle instead of round.
