Ride with joy and seek peace in all things,

Gwen

If you have any questions or want to help pay to fly Marian to Virginia, please PM me.

Oh, Phil.

He was so very happy last time I was talking to him. And planning a visit to the Adobe. And to the Blitz to Branson. And . . .

My heart goes out to his daughter. She was his rock in all this.

Hospice is a godsend at a time like this.

Sad news, thoughts go out to his family.
Didn't know him long, but he was always ready to have a friendly chat. Great stories as well.
RIP Phil...you'll be missed.

Oh, this is very sad news... what a wonderful man and a great member of our community.

Sad News . . . .

He PM'd me a couple times and we found we had some adventures in common. I'm sorry to hear of his difficulties.
Ride safe Phil.

Ride well, Phil.......

Met Phil one time here in ABQ and he and his wife and I had some German food. A great guy who will be missed.

Ran across Phil at the Klassic K Kampout held at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground a few years ago. Photo taken with my cell phone.

I met Phil at the Blitz to Branson. Enjoyed having dinner with him. A very nice man, he will be missed. I am privileged to have met him, and I was looking forward to saying Hi this year. Sadly, looks like that will not happen. Phil, I hope you can find a way out of this. Sending good thoughts to all.

Harriet and Phil

There are lots of subplots to our Branson gathering and many of them highlight this amiable pair. To remember them both and in his honor, Tracy will be transporting some Smithwick beer, the choice of Phil to share in his own magic cooler last year.

Mariam, his daughter, has shared word of his passing yesterday here:

His K11 group will be remembering him at their own Hungry Mother gathering.

My heart hurts.

Thanks for post Voni.

I didn't have my notifications set to tell me if anyone posted, so I didn't think anyone here cared.

I'm glad I was wrong.

Phil's friend Junji Yoshida in Japan has also been notified by Chip.

So sorry to hear the sad news, our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Here is a pic of Phil my brother took at the Blitz last year as we chatted with him after the awards ceremony. The Blitz will never be the same, I'm sure there will be many a glass raised in his honor this year.

Don't recall ever meeting Phil, but, thanks to the pics posted in this thread I realize I have seen him many times over the years at various events. Condolences to his family and friends.
