Running Lights!

Manfred, nice job. Did you use the same connector f & r that you mentioned earlier? And since you Dremel'ed the opening bigger what did you use to seal it up?

Many thanks for your kind words. Yes, I used the same socket/connector in the front as well as the rear. I put a couple dobs of epoxy on the back side and on the inside to secure the socket to the plastic bulb holder. The dual element socket is a press fit into the dremeled hole - up to the point where the tunnels for the lugs on the bulb go, as these features bulge out a wee bit.

One caution: on one of my sockets, the springs poked a wee back through the back side of the molded part. The stock clip that provided power to the single element bulb pushes on the back side of the black molded part of the new socket. If the springs are poking above the holes, this clip can short across them. This can end up powering both lights in that socket at once AND blowing the fuze for this light circuit. I experienced this :)
