Rear tire crown flattening

There was no mention of which Metzeler tire was mounted, but the Z6 and Z8 tires were/are notorious for going away very quickly near the end. They look just fine and then have cord showing 50 miles later. They lack tread wear indicators near the center of the tread and have fooled many, many riders - so much so that several riders that I know simply will not buy them anymore.

I'm one of them. I got the big Metzeler surprise on the way to the Redmond MOA rally. Woke up 50 miles from Redmond with wear bars showing just about done. When I took the wheel off at Redmond to go hunting for a rally tire deal I discovered this happened in the last 50 miles. It's the last Metzeler I bought.

"Handling" in a straight line is a dubious concept at best.

It changes with wear in any event ... road surfaces are not all perfect for one thing.

Probably you'd like some water dispersal should it rain ...
