Rear drive leak

I have a 2003 R1200 CL that only has 2500 miles on the rear drive rebuild of new bearings and a seal. It has developed a leak that has completely coated the rear brake assembly. The work was done by a BMW dealership. The work was just done just this March and hopefully under some sort of warranty. If not, what kind of a job is it to replace the seal? I removed the filler cap and inspected the fluid which is black in color.

There's a 2 year warranty on the parts and since the dealer did the repair the labor will also be covered.

My dealer repaired final drive lasted 5 years.
I had someone else fix it the 2nd time and was told the shimming was not correct which is why it failed.
If the dealer isn't going to do it right the first time don't know why they would the 2nd.
This is year 5 of the 2nd repair and I have no worries, about that anyway.

The black oil is concerning, it might well be more than just the seal. Good to see they are standing behind their work.
