I didn’t see them on the Vendor list but I was wondering if anyone had heard if they will be attending. I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’d love to see a demo first.

Recent discussion that may help-

I've not been able to find a published vendor list for the rally. Seems like it should be pretty well set by now.

Thx...I had seen that before, but since it was "Exhibitor" it struck me as people giving seminars or some such. Seems like it might be better called Vendors. :dunno

I am bringing mine and a couple spare (used) tires as well...
I also have the balancer and ordered all of the adapters for the different hubs when I bought mine.
The first tire was a bit of a learning curve but after a two tires the 3rd & 4th were cake...

I bought their first model of changer that is used extensively in the off road world at events like the International Six Day Enduro. They need to change tires quickly. I have now picked up the newer version. They have different approaches to the changing process. In my opinion both units are very good. You still have to pay attention to having the bead in the center of the rim. Follow the instructions, it works. What sets these changers apart from the other popular changer is that the Rabaconda does not have to be anchored to the floor. The other aspect that sets it apart is that it fits into a compact carrying bag so you can get it out of the way when not in use and/or take it with you to a group ride. It is not small or lite enough to take on a bike but goes easily in the trunk of the car or bed of the pick-up. Take it out of the bag, set it up, change your tires, put it back into the bag. I have met the people behind the product back when we had motorcycle shows. They are from Estonia, very personable and have developed a unique to me distribution system. They ship from inside the US. Once the word gets out that you have a tire changer you will have more friends than before.

Here is the web site with demos.

Based on my experience I don't think you will be disappointed.

Half Price Rabaconda?

Riders are very seldom changing tires at the same time. Find someone you trust to go in 50-50 on a Rabaconda changer. Agree before hand that if either stops riding the other takes ownership. Maybe do a pre-nup. If you bought a Rabaconda yourself, you would most likely lose one half of the value upon sale so with this arrangement no net loss but a reduced purchase point. Agree in the pre-nup on what contribution should be made by borrowers to the two owners because that is going to happen. Price doubles if not returned in a timely manner. If you have a club, they could do a purchase. Still need rules. There must be structure. I am working on how to get your tire changer for one third the cost and two other riders but am having trouble with the math:)

The portability of the system makes it easy to pass the bag to someone else. Easy to use in the garage, basement or living room during motocross coverage.

I did not mention in my earlier post that I like the newer unit better than the older unit. Either can be used for street bikes. To think I once did this by covering a trash can with a blanket. One of the tools the clever Estonians introduced to me is the Tire Mounting Tool (TMT). When you have the last six inches of bead you can't get over the rim this item gently pushes it over without touching the rim. This is more appropriate for the first generation Rabaconda than the newer one. There are knockoffs of the TMT but this is the original. I don't think you need it as much with the newer changer.

This looks the same as the Baja No-Pinch Tire Tool... which also works quite well.
