R75/5 Horn Switch Available?

Are these switches available new? Reproduction?
Thanks for any info. After poking around seems that these are no longer made. Are the originals repairable?
 
Isn't that built into to the left-hand switch assembly? I think one would have to buy the whole thing. What's wrong with the current assembly?

All, thanks for the response. Had poked around a bit and search had indicated no longer in stock. The switch at Ted Porter was for 1974 and that may be wired different than earlier models. Will look to see if they have other offerings. Will contact Max as had only been to there website finding NA. Maybe the Benchworks stock has what is needed.

Intermittent horn is troubling and testing indicated no current to horn. As the horn button is the mechanical link seemed the likely culprit.

Appreciate your assistance.
 
Have you looked at the wiring diagram for the /5 horn? It's fairly simple and pushing the button creates a path to ground, likely that ground is near the switch. The wire routes to/through the ignition switch finally back to the horn. Might be worth tracking the wiring down and inspecting the connections along the way. Might be dicey but maybe the switch comes apart to reveal some corrosion. Be careful of flying bits so working inside a large plastic bag would be needed.
 
I bought both left and right to keep as back-ups recently (10/2021) . The OEM left knob had begun to crumble.

Just for the heck of it, have you had the switch off the handlebars and tried spraying electrical contact cleaner into the housing? While it may not do anything, it can't hurt and is cheaper than a new switch.

While BMW may not have the switch available, they may still be made by an OM company. As mentioned Ted Porter is a good place for parts as well as EME. Boxer two valve or Seibenrock. There is also a company called Sallis. St.
