R1300GS TFT Clock Bug

Hi all. Purchased the new 1300 GS. It’s a beautiful bike, rides like a champ, and I am very impressed. Coming from the RT, you’re losing some of the road manners, gaining a lot more. Overall, very happy.

However, my bike has been plagued with a bug, and I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing it.

The clock on the display (the dashboard) falls out of sync every time I turn off the bike. If I stop for breakfast, when I come back to the bike an hour later, it will have lost anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. If I stop for gas, it also falls behind. The duration always changes, and isn’t consistent with how long the bike was turned off.

Tapping the GPS sync option in the settings immediately gets the clock back to where it should be, but the issue persists as soon as I turn the bike off.

I do use the new ConnectedRide Navigator - wondering if it's related to this accessory?

Anyone else seen this? Is this a setting I have goofed up, or is it a bug and I have to wait for BMW to patch it? Thanks for the help.

Yes it is a known bug with the CRN. The bike is fine. Turn off GPS sync on the bike, put a SIM card in the CRN or live with it.

Dang - a bug with the clock? Super disappointing, you'd think it would be a priority to get it right. Thanks for the info.

Edit - @tsconver Can you recommend a SIM card provider? I use AT&T for my cell - just call them, or is there a pre-paid that makes more sense?

Seems as they turn motorcycles into cars, technology wise, more of this will continue until they catch up to cars?
When I think of the “freedom of the road” that motorcycling is (for me) I think of my past bikes.
The F800GS is close to that feeling.
Of course- YMMV.

Not a bug with the bike at all. It is all in the crn.
