I bought a R1150R without windshield or mounting hardware. Looking for a good tall touring windshield with hardware that will fit the bike. Looking at National, Slipstreamer and Parabellum. Anybody been down this road before?

I have had a Parabellum on my '04 for 4 years and 90000 miles and have been very satisfied with it. With just the windshield I had more buffeting around my head than I liked, so I added the Aeroflow tank wings. For me, this combination works very well.

I had a BMW large clear touring windscreen put on my 2005 R1150R. Never liked the look of fairings, but this fits the bike well and gives me nice protection from fatigue on longer days. I think it cost +/- $250. I also put on some GS hand guards which protect against wind, cold and the occasional stray object that comes flying at you. I think they were $100 installed. Those + an Alaska Shearling seat cover make my standard R-bike long-haul worthy. Ride safe!

I agree with the BMW Touring windshield

although it is my wifes bike, i have put a few miles on it.... :bolt
