Phone Camera Damaged from Vibration?

So, based on the above, using an iPhone on a Harley should be fine.

:laugh

If it has the rubber engine isolation. Pretty much the last place I would mount a phone is on a handlebar mount. Safety of the phone aside, if I took the time to read something on the screen or make an adjustment, around here the traffic would flatten the rider.
Out west where the roads are straight as far as the eye can see…….maybe.

Hoping for safety for those that watch their phone while they ride.

Handlebar is the most convenient place to mount a phone. Allows you to see if navigating and so on. Best phone holder is the Hondo Garage Perfect Squeeze with Buzzkill. You’ll never lose or break another phone again.

Does that mount come with new eyes? :laugh

I ended up getting a new phone and I don't use the storage compartment. For long rides, I use the accessory port and a cord and tuck the phone in my jacket pocket. On shorter trips I just don't charge the phone while riding. I get the warning about high heat. My phone has overheated in the compartment due to a combination of high temps (105+ in the summer in the Mohave Desert) and QI charging. But I guess I just don't understand why BMW would make a storage pocket specifically for storing and charging (via USB or wireless) phones and then not provide any dampening for vibration. I mean, it's a phone pocket...I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think it would ok to use it to store and charge my phone.

Since this thread got resurrected I figured it was time for an update. I have since switched from the ConnectedRide Cradle with my old burner phone to a Chigee AIO-5 Play for BMW. I have only rode with it a few times, but so far I think it's a keeper.
