Hello MOA,
My affair with BMW motorcycles began in the early 90's while living in Southern Oregon. My roommate had a 1974 R60/6. I rode that bike all over the Willamette Valley and the coast. I'd had other motorcycles, but the way that machine glided through the countryside hooked me for life. Fast forward 30 years. Between a time-consuming career, being a husband, and raising a kid I made time to re-discover these awesome machines. I bought and restored a 1978 R80/7. Why stop at one? Last year I picked up a 2002 R1150GS. Riding through the North Georgia mountains sends me to a zen state of mind far away from the chaos of the world. I've found that most BMW riders have a similar mindset and love the feeling of rolling the throttle through our amazing, crazy lives. The community that the MOA has built reinforces the good experience owning BMW motorcycles has brought me. I'm very happy to be here.
