new Harley Davidson

Yes, just as good even better, but only on cylinders separated by 90 degrees or less. BMW's oil is superior on 180 degree units. This came out of a Consumer Reports survey, so 100% accurate.

Awwww Dang-Nabbit. What about Inline 6's ?

Is HD branded oil as good as BMW branded Advantec?

Okay, I must be getting really bored here, but I decided to conduct a 'seat of the pants' comparison of HD oil versus BMW.

I emptied a quart of each onto my garage floor and then squeegeed both into a 20' x 16" strip, stopping just short of the back wall.

Taking exactly 3 paces I then launched myself onto the HD strip - bottom down. Sure enough, I slid the full 20', smacking up against the back wall and wrenching my right shoulder.

I then replicated the experiment with the BMW oil - first changing into a fresh pair of jeans to control for any confounding effect from the now oily seat of the first pair. The BMW oil delivered me to the back wall with sufficient force to not only wrench my left shoulder, but to also bruise my ribs.

Conclusion: the BMW oil is superior to the HD product.

Some may call me crazy, but the pursuit of science sometimes demands personal sacrifice.

You wore a helmet when you tested the BMW oil, correct?

Oh brother. Freak'in amateurs! Did you notice he didn't do a control group in this experiment. Totally unusable data without a control group.

Me thinks thinks he's had one too many Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters :ha
