Hello fellow BMW owners! Live in both Vermont and Costa Rica. My F650GS in in Vermont. I did ride it on Christmas Day this year and took a pic of myself in front of Okemo Ski Resort - with the lifts running! Looking forward to meeting other BMW owners and swapping stories (I am also a sailor - we love stories) at rally's and events in the future.

Welcome Aboard

Welcome to the club and the forum - Now there's a life I could handle, Spousal Unit and I would love to have a place in Costa Rica and another in the Mountains once I retire.

You should plan to join us at the International Rally, July 14-17, Hamburg, NY - great way to meet new people and make new friends!

Thanks for being a member!!

I had to read this a few times to believe it!!:thumb
I love it!!

Moto in Costa Rica?

Do you have a bike in Costa Rica to ride.

I apologize for taking so long to respond to the question. Been on the road a lot and haven't been back on this site...

I do not currently have a moto in Costa Rica. My partner has a 1974 BMW 90 (original owner). We just picked up two "new for us" BMW's in Virginia. A BMW 1200 for Art so he has a moto her in the U.S.; and a 1984 BMW K100 for me. Riding the 100 x-country in June from VT to CA and back (solo). Thinking about shipping the 650 down to Costa Rica.

Will be attending the International Rally

Thanks for the welcome! We have the International Rally scheduled on our calendar! Looking forward to it and meeting new people who have similar interests!

I will have just returned from a solo x-country trip from VT to CA and back on a 1984 BMW K100. Will be my first (of many planned) long distance ride. We'll have to plan on meeting up at the Rally and we can chat about Costa Rica.
