My No Reception XM radio problem has been resolved!!!

I am unfortunately needing to wait on these to install because my bike is going in for major surgery next week. My stator is burned out. I confirmed this as I assumed today by removing the regulator and testing all 3 wires coming from the alternator. As I assumed they were all showing direct continuity to ground, so all shored out. 2014, 70,000 miles. Also when I removed the stator wires from the regulator there was oil dripping from the inside of the plug. My guess is that’s cooked too. Fortunately for me I did purchase an extended warranty and still within the time left of the warranty too! I’ve always done all my own work and yes I can do this, but because of the warranty off it goes next week. I pray they do the job right as I have read others have had vibration problems. It’s a big job and some lift is required to pull the frame off the engine also. I would have to do all the engine work on my garage floor so for the first time off it goes, fingers crossed!
When it’s running again I will install a series type regulator (much improves stator cooling) and then all the antenna stuff as well. I’ll try to post some pictures later when my bike returns probably in about 3 weeks due to the dealership needing to order all the parts. But about is all I have ordered for the reception improvements AM,FM,XM.IMG_4644.jpeg
