Multi-function display visibility 2009 1200RT

I find that in daylight riding it is very difficult to read the multi-function display. If the sun is coming from behind it is easy to read, any other angle and it is almost illegible. On overcast days it is much easier to read.

Is there any solution to this problem?

My 2011 RT is the same way. Haven't found a "solution" yet, except to just ignore it since I can't read it. :)

Not that I've been able to find. The multi function display on my 2006 is impossible to read much of the time because of glare. Fortunately the speedometer and tach are always easy to read so it's not that big a deal.

Don't buy the suggestion that fooling the backlight to stay lit in daylight by covering the light sensor. Tried it... made no difference.
