Micky Dymond Signs with Husqvarna for 2008

SAN DIEGO, CA ÔÇô April 11, 2008 ÔÇô www.gphusqvarna.com, Former AMA Super Cross and Supermoto Unlimited Champion Micky Dymond signs with GP Husqvarna to contest the 2008 AMA Supermoto series along with Moto X and Summer X Games events aboard the Husqvarna SMR 450.

The effort will combine resources from Dymond existing title sponsor, ÔÇ£All Access: and team GP Husqvarna to create Team All Access GP Husqvarna.

GP HusqvarnaÔÇÖs Paul Lima says, ÔÇ£We are happy to be working with Micky ÔÇô he is a talented and experienced rider. He has been riding one of our bikes for the last week or so preparing for the Moto X event here in San Diego this weekend, and we are all happy with his progress and performance on the bike on such short notice.ÔÇØ

Micky may be joined by one or more of the World Championship Husqvarna riders at select events throughout the season, but details are still to be finalized.

Micky commented, ÔÇ£ItÔÇÖs great to be back on Husqvarna. I pretty much started my career on a Husqvarna and I have a lot of great memories and hope to make many more. Every time I step onto the bike I feel faster than the time before, so I think we are headed in the right direction.
Initial team sponsors are as follows:

Husqvarna USA, All Access, Dunlop, FMF, Beringer, QTM, Marzocchi, Maxima, STM, Race Tech, K&N, Renthal, Cycra, Hot Cams, CP Pistons, Faulkner & Livingston, SDG.

Wonderings:

What is the value of gold? Ask that question an you will receive a variety of answers in response.

The investor may tell you the value of gold is the security it represents as part of the investors portfolio.

A gold broker may swivel in their chair and with a few clicks of the keyboard tell you what it is trading for in various markets and currencies.

A computer hardware designer may explain goldÔÇÖs value in terms of increases in connection speeds within certain parts of a computer v the use of other metals.

Artists and artisans of various ilks will talk about the luster it brings to their work as light shimmers off its surface.

As your list of answers grows there is a common thread in the answers. The value of gold is defined in terms of what it does not what it is. On its own it is just a metal, with properties similar to other metals. The value of gold is created in what people do with it and what it does in those applications.

The BMW MOA is a bit like gold in this sense. If you ask members you will receive a variety of answers and the commonality in the answers will be found in what the respondent and the BMW MOA do together to make the motorcycling experience golden.

Now is a time for action. If you have not already voted, take a moment and vote in the current election. Spend some time finding answers for a fellow forum userÔÇÖs question. Volunteer in some way, no matter how seemingly small the effort it. You will find the value of you BMW MOA gold will go up as you do.

Over the next month I will be taking a break from daily posting of the Morning Reads. Do not panic, you wonÔÇÖt be asked to go through this cold turkey. I will be posting just not daily.

After 36 years we are closing down the home base in Lilydale. I am going to be an I-weigian for a few months while I help my son-in-law expand a business and playing with the Iowa branch of the pit crew. What happens after that is up in the air for now. Anyone need to hire a good blog aggregator? :D

To keep you busy until the next post here is the blog roll. Check them out and see what is going on in world of other riders.

Brands Hatch opener postponed after heavy snowfall
When the Brits postpone an event due to weather something is afoot. I recall lawns being mowed outside my office in March. Where is global warming?

Mika, you find the most unusual items. :laugh

I can feel withdrawal pain already.

I will certainly feel the pain of the morning reads cut back.... Does this mean I'll have to find my own saturday morning cartoons?

Less employment equals

more riding! Thanks for all the Morning Reads. Hard to image starting the day without them. BTW, the article on the Icelandic kronur is excellent.

Holly

Holly, I thought of you the minute I saw it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Saturday Cartoons. I plan on posting them. Heck I would miss them also. There is a F1 race coming up and I will also post for that. The Morning Reads are not gone forever, just have to take a break from regular posting while life happens. Not enough time to put them together on a daily basis.

Less work, :rofl, I wish. This is a working adventure that includes a bunch of opportunities for fun and riding in areas I have not spent time in nor ever expected to. But it also includes a startup business which will eat up a bunch of time.

Back to work.

I can't imagine the time that morning reads takes to put together.. Looks daunting to me.... Good luck and thanks for all you do

John,

Many thanks for all your time spent on the Morning Reads! I have spent way too much time reading them, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

Looking forward to more!

:brad
I have been missing details like that more and more, part of what told me it was time to take a break for now.

Or maybe I was looking for one more day to get my taxes together. :laugh
