motoblog.it Illmor BMW?

148043657-L.jpg

After ill-fated the how much short experience in MotoGP, Mario Ilien seems next being to an important relative announcement to the Ilmor plan. The scuderia anglo-Swiss would concentrate the own efforts on the development of the propeller four cylinders to V in the attempt to render it progressively more competitive. It would not seem to above all exclude the hypothesis of a return in track of the team with to some partner (and some sponsor) of high level. For the moment the more concrete contacts would carry the BMW colossus to the flank of Mario Ilien. The German house has participated recently to the 24 hours of the Mans demonstrating a sure interest for the competitions motociclis For the moment is solo to chiacchiere, but he would be indeed interesting for gets passionate you to it of the two wheels, to be able to see in future BMW and the planner of the Mercedes motor to defy the signorotti of the MotoGP. Goodness knows, perhaps a day not too much far away

Sheboygan Area

Water is the defining theme of this appealing city along the Lake Michigan shore. SheboyganÔÇÖs lakefront features a new marina flanked by beautiful beaches. Slightly inland, the cityÔÇÖs Riverfront Boardwalk along the Sheboygan River offers galleries, shops and restaurants. The cityÔÇÖs refurbished downtown includes a childrenÔÇÖs museum and a visual and performing arts complex located in the former mansion of one of the cityÔÇÖs leading families - the Kohlers of plumbing fixture fame.

Sheboygan is a great jumping-off point for visits to the nearby village of Kohler, which includes a world-class resort, The American Club, Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits golf courses, boutiques and the Kohler Design Center.

The Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest sweeps through the southwestern corner of Sheboygan County like a plume of green. The 30,000-acre forest is a wonderful, four-season recreational resource for camping, hiking, biking and watersports. The Henry S. Ruess Ice Age Visitor Center near Campbellsport interprets the areaÔÇÖs rich glacial history. The resort community of Elkhart Lake flanks the northern tip of the forest. Elkhart Lake is the home of Road America, an internationally famous motor sports track that draws the worldÔÇÖs top drivers for a series of prestigious races throughout the summer season. Nearby, in Greenbush, the Wade House Stagecoach Inn and Wesley Jung Carriage Museum showcases an 1800's inn operated as a State Historical Society site.

To the east, Plymouth's historic downtown is a treasure of antique shops, fine dining and quality accommodations. The Plymouth Arts Center houses the city's performing and visual arts center. The Plymouth Historical Museum has a new home on Mill Street, and the Visitor Center, located at the corner of Hwys 23 and 57, is well-stocked with information. Plymouth is also one of four trailheads on the county's exceptional Old Plank Road Trail.

THE END

From Mika's find

One problem for cops trying to enforce noise ordinances is that motorcycle noise isn't sustained or stationary, and it doesn't exist wholly and separately from other traffic noise. So decibel meters are hard to use as the basis for issuing tickets.

But no matter. There may be a better technique, one that Stillwater announced earlier this month. Police in that historic St. Croix Valley town are stopping suspiciously loud motorcycles (and other vehicles) to inspect their mufflers.

State law requires mufflers "in good working order" on all motor vehicles and forbids "muffler cut-outs," that is, the removal of baffles or other alterations that make engines louder.

Already the word is out to noisy bikers: Avoid Stillwater.

It's always important to have a nice snap when you bite into that grilled dog..:thumb

I spent time riding in the St. Croix River valley and passed through Stillwater this weekend. Much quieter until I backed off the gas and my exhaust popped. I have not cat. A BMW being the loud bike, imagine that.
