What's with the bandwidth lately?
Navigating the site at times really becomes painful.

At times (all hours) the site responds quickly. Others it can hang for well over 2-3 minutes.
I've seen this at 1am pst and 10am pst. I've also seen this through a Cable network, comcast or a LAN at work.

Work being done in the background?
