MOA Getaway - Pine Mountain, Kentucky -- September 6-8, 2024

Thank you to everyone who came to the Kentucky State Rally at Pine Mountain SRP. This was the 10th year that BMWs have rallied at Pine Mountain, and we're already planning for the 11th!
If you attended, please let us know what we can do to make the event even better.

Always great to have a report on how an event went. :thumb

Daryl,

As a first-time attendee I thought the location was excellent, as was the staff at the lodge. I have just two recommendations.
1. Registration on Friday should be sometime in the morning, not 3 PM. There were several people sitting around Friday wondering when registration would open.
2. I would like to have had a schedule of events available before the rally. I realize there were not a lot of preplanned events, but a schedule would have made it easier to plan my weekend.

Daryl,
Like Carl, this was my first time at Pine Mountain. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it, especially the location, the attendees, staff, and of course all of you that devoted your time and energy to make it a successfully event. My only recommendation is that you offer shower options for those of us that really do enjoying camping. If I may, I noticed a pool that wasn’t being used, actually it appeared closed, perhaps due to the time of year. I suspect the pool facility has showers and restrooms, and may serve as a great option for us tent campers? Looking forward to coming back again next year, as well as attending some of the other 4 locations you have planned for 2025. Thanks again.

Thank you for the reply.
We will try to open registration earlier. As hosts, we get there as early as can.
We will definitely have a schedule available both online and in person.

We hope to see you at another Rides4Fun event somewhere down the road!

Thanks for the reply.
Pine Mountain lists the camping as primitive but we will definitely ask about, if the pool area has a shower facility, can we use it for campers.

We try to open registration as soon as we can, some of the volunteers who work registrations can't get there any earlier than early afternoon. If you're sitting around the lodge waiting, I'd encourage you to check out some of the sweet backroads that are right around Pine Mountain.
We will most definitely email out a schedule of events to all registered attendees next year. Printing them out costs money that we really don't have, as this is a State Rally and not a MOA Getaway.
