North GA offers some of America’s best motorcycle roads. This event is conveniently located at Unicoi State Park, by Helen, GA. There are plenty of street and big bike friendly adventure routes to select from. The early fall date should offer some great foliage colors and riding weather.

Tempting. I believe they have cabins that are reasonably priced, but that was back in the 1980s. Prices might have gone up since then.

Two nights: $733. There's a couple 2BR cabins vacant this date... 5 months out until the Getaway.
A few ADA Lodge rooms remain at $500+
No Campground RV sites.
A few "walk in" tent camping platforms/sites are available.
And I'm about positive it's not Getaway riding folks that have nearly filled the State Park.
It's just that popular. Atlanta is not so far away (sort of many people). It's their getaway zone.
Families set alarm clocks to respond for the next date eligible for reservations on the calendar... many months out.
The riding is fantastic in that region; and the food has always been very good in the Lodge. You just don't sleep cheap in that area anymore.

Another thing to consider for folks being priced out by Atlantans there to relax: Southern North Carolina is only a half hour away, and lots of rustic accomodations are in those hills. You may need to bring your own towel or sleep in a bunkhouse or share bathroom facilities, but I recently paid $40 a night, although it was farther up in NC. Search the NC or north GA "border towns".
