INTERMOT, the international motorcycle trade show in Cologne, Germany, runs October 5 - 9. Many European manufacturers display their latest offerings at the show. One interesting press release already posted describes Wilbers' new Nivomat rear suspension units. Nivomat is a self-leveling technology used on automobiles; Wilbers will be bringing it to motorcycles.

The early K100s had Nivomats, at least as an option. I have used one on and off as a spare on several K75s over the years. It is still working well after 30 or so years and a few tens of thousands of miles.

I was at Intermot - for the MOA - about ten years ago. What a spectacular event. All the majors plus 100 plus minors. I was shocked to find more than 150 builders of motorcycles. We think in terms of a dozen - but globally???

p.s. Voni and I are buying two G310GS bikes ASAP.

p.s. Voni and I are buying two G310GS bikes ASAP.

I couldn't wait for the BMW and went with a KTM 390 Duke this spring.

I noticed that a couple of days ago.

But when is the one in Munich? Didn't they alternate the shows between cities? The one in Munich used to be a week before or after Oktoberfest.

Sorry, they don't alternate anymore. It is still an every other year affair but the site has been fixed in Colgne's Koelnmesse.

Voni, that is a big 1200GS. I thought Paul was talking about two of these.

Looks like the smaller G310GS will come in red also.
