It's a crowded country and motorcycles are expensive. Those guys probably all grew up with mom or dad riding the family bike with five people on it.
 
With all the Royal Enfields being sold in US we may be seeing this as entertainment at next Rally. They are only air cooled but don’t shoot flames so Rally site won’t be any hotter than usual.

Safe Ride

My wife worked for IBM and had to go to Bangalore for a couple of 2 week stints. Rental cars come with a driver so she was free to take some videos of her commute, the activities in the video look much safer than what I saw in in hers
