How 2 remove H- bars from alum casting 1200ST

I am curious how I can remove the handle bar from the alum. casting? The bar end runs through the casting and is held in place by a fairly large Torque head bolt. I have removed/loosened the bolt and tapped on the end hoping to free up the bar. No such luck and I am out of ideas.

Anybody have a Service Manual? or experience in this matter?

I took a look at my wife's as i removed them for the handlebar swap I did.

I took the bolt out same as you did and nothing.

It looks like they are pressed and from the parts fiche the parts are not sold seperate.

One thing you may try is some low level heat.

For my own curiosity - why do you want to remove?
