GS headlight protector from China

Halogen lights all have a finite lifespan. How many miles/hours were on the bulbs that burned out? Could the bulbs have reached their end-of-life just after your install? How many miles/hours are on the new bulbs?

It's a 2016, this was 2021. Mileage about 30K at the time one, then the other went out. Since then I've had no issues with the replacements since.

It's possible they had come close to end of life. I'm not one who normally believes in coincidence.

Whatever happened to the custom pre-cut thick rubbery film headlight protectors? Easy to apply and not expensive, they can’t be seen, just a thicker edge around the headlight lens. I put one on my gs years ago and then quickly forgot about it.
