Well, I just finished my "contact" check ride in the Lakota UH-72A [BK-117 C2 civil nomenclature.] Instruments are next. I recognize a lot of the German design philosophy on the copter, the BK-117 formerly Eurocopter a German company, was bought out by Airbus, a French company. Today with my coworker and co-conspirator, I was able to snap a quick 15 second photo on a bird that was close to the wash rack. Hoping tower operators wouldn't get too much heartburn, I doubt they even saw us, it was a well execute smooth and efficient military operation, in and out before being detected.

"Iron" is for describing American stuff (save Boeing). For German stuff, it has to be "nice alloy!"
