Fuel Line size

Yesterday the quick disconnect on my 2003 R1150R began spitting fuel. With the help of a friend, I was able to bodge together a fix by cutting out the disconnect and piecing in a bit of fuel line with some 5/16 brass fittings and some hose clamps.

I need to replace this with the proper pressure hose and connectors--forget the quick disconnects--. Before I go off to search for fuel hose, I would like someone to give me the "inch" size hose that will most closely approximate the metric size. Local discount auto parts place had nothing, so I would like to be better informed before I head out to the NAPA store. Also, will regular fuel hose work instead of the high pressure stuff.

Any help would be appreciated since my dealer in 125 miles away.

8mm= .3146
5/16" = .3125 (so close you won't be able to tell the difference)
use the fuel line hose rated for fuel injected engines, this is probably the high pressure stuff you refer to.

Mark

Ya, 5/16 fuel injection hose is what you need. $4-$5 per foot.

I replaced my fuel line disconnects with the metal ones from Omega. Part numbers are FT-LCD170-05 and FT-LCD220-05 from Omega. You will need two of each part number. No worries about breaking and easy removal of fuel tank.
