Forum frustration

I am new to BMW’s…and to these forums. Every time I want to post something regarding my 1300 I cannot find the appropriate area easily. The best I can do is search “my content”..and hope that there’s a breadcrumb that will lead me in the right direction.
I have raised this issue privately, and now I’m going to raise it publicly.
Please - create a sub-forum for the 1300.

I thought the holdup was that we couldn't decide on a catchy "head" name for it? Last I remember we were torn between turtlehead, shifthead and starfishhead.
Perhaps a thread should be started to get input from the members. That being said, I'm not sure there are many riders who would refer to their model bikes as turtlehead or starfishhead. Shifthead is not bad. But, someone out there may have a better suggestion. In the short run, naming the subforum R1300 would allow a place for discussion. Moving appropriate discussions later on could be time consuming.

Darn...I liked turtlehead..

SymHead, as the cases/jugs are now symmetrical/even when looking down from above, rather than staggered?
So how is this optical illusion possible. I am pretty sure that the two connecting rods do not connect to the crankshaft at the same spot. This means that the centers of the pistons cannot be the same fore/aft. So what has been done to make it look that way? Or not??

The mechanism for the shift cam is ahead of the bore centreline on one cylinder, and behind on the other..

... all this pondering leaves me lightheaded.
Bike does weigh less; huh... R13 Lighthead
