Dumb Question: Cables on '07 GSA?

OK...I could not answer this question...on my '07 R1200GS Adventure are there any cables that need lubing or should be carried as spares?

I am slowly clawing my way into understanding the Beast..no help from BMW...I do have the BMW CD ordered..sure hope it covers servicing and repairs!

Thanks...Phil::::brow

no lubing required.

as far as spares go, the cables on the oilheads are pretty durable, i don't carry spares, but i assume you could if you so desired.

Are There Cables? Where?

Thanks Bubba...but I still do not know if and where the cables are on an '07 GSA..can anybody point me to a source for this information?

Thanks...Phil:::

Throttle cables (three of them)
Fast idle cable (one)

You must remove the tank to get access.

RLK..Thanks!

Thanks...too long a dirt rider in old days...always carry spare cables...losing a cable in BFE really sucks!

No fast idle cable on an R1200 bike.

As for lubing, NEVER on a modern BMW bike. They are nylon coated internal cables that, if lubed, will ruin them.
